Seaworks: Trap Season
The Challenge
Aerosoft came back to Trapster for Seaworks: Trap Season — a crab-fishing sim where you run traps, read the weather, and haul the catch back before the sea turns on you. It's a genre the publisher knows how to sell to a core simulation audience, but not one that explains itself in a store screenshot: the appeal is the loop, and the loop only lands in motion.
The brief was a concentrated visibility push around the Steam page rather than a slow drip — enough creators publishing close enough together that the game reads as a moment, not a listing.
The Approach
The campaign opened at a flat $5 CPM across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels, dedicated videos only, tagged #seaworks — no compilations, so every post was about the game and nothing else.
33 creators self-enrolled and shipped 60 videos, and the entire posting window closed in about sixteen hours: first video live at 14:55, last one before 07:00 the next morning. TikTok took 28 of the posts with Shorts and Reels splitting the rest evenly. Tracked views landed at 699,708 and the effective CPM settled at $2.44 — under half the nominal rate, because views kept accruing after creator caps were reached. The Steam page added roughly 2,000 wishlists off that single push, at $0.85 each.
